An attractive palm type shrub with arching leaves, long and sword shaped. Cordylines can produce clusters of scented flowers in the summer. It is also known as Cabbage palm ‘Tango’. There are lots of varieties, some of which can grow to 8 meters tall. Pull off dead leaves as soon as they die to keep the plant looking good and to prevent disease. ‘Tango’ provides wonderful year round foliage colour.

It is important to keep the soil continuously moist. Reduce watering during the winter and water your plant whenever the soil surface starts to feel dry.

Cordyline needs bright light, but avoid direct sunlight in unhabituated plants.

A good feed with all purpose granular or liquid feed between May and September should help.

Cordyline thrives in temperatures above 62 degrees Fahrenheit and prefers a high humidity environment.
